It's still 150 miles, but it takes 6 hours instead of the anticipated 3 hours at 50 MPH. This Northeast travel is a little different than the wilds of Nevada.
We made a quick stop to see an old bridge from the Delaware and Raritan Canal. Turns out it was a replacement for the bridge George Washington and troops burned to keep ahead of the Brits in 1777. We were rewarded with some beautiful views including this from an old flour mill.
We spent the afternoon at the Morris Arboretum -- so lush and beautiful! This is an organic sculpture called A Waltz in the Woods. We loved its whimsy and seeing how it was made.
Then we had our first Philadelphia cheesesteak. That would be "two provolone with" -- two cheesesteaks with provolone (not cheese whiz) and with onions. But I forgot to take a picture of them because we were too busy yumming them!

These pictures are super, Jerry! They bring back so many good memories of the adventures we had while living in New Haven and exploring the Northeast around us. Late spring/early summer is the perfect time to visit.
