After hunting down a bronze plaque commemorating the first official and public endorsement of Lincoln as a presidential candidate in Central Park of Mansfield, Ohio, we wound our way to Upper Sandusky. Along the way, we stopped at a few sights, such as one of the murals in Bucyrus. Then we turned southwest for a stop in Jackson Center to tour the Airstream manufacturing plant. It was an impressive operation even though it was somewhat shutdown due to plant expansion. We went further south to Columbus to pick up Michael and journeyed on to central Illinois for our traditional family gathering for Memorial Day weekend and Mom's birthday.
Enjoy your time with Michael and the family, Jerry.
